FTP stands for file transfer protocol. The basic function of FTP is to upload and download files to and from the server. FTP is used mainly in the development of your websites. • File Manager – built into your hosting control panel
• FileZilla – third party FTP client for Windows and Mac
• CuteFTP – third party FTP client for Windows users only

Every FastWebHost account has one main FTP user. It is possible to add users to your account and provide others with FTP access.
Your first/main FTP details were emailed to your in our “[FastWebHost] Hosting Account Information” email.
